Alder wood is a soft, light wood that's easy to work with. It's used in a variety of applications, including furniture, cabinets, and boat building. 

Appearance Light tan to reddish-brown in color, Straight grain pattern, and Fine to medium texture.

Properties 

• Low bending strength, shock resistance, and stiffness

• Perishable and susceptible to decay and insect attacks

• Naturally very knotty

Furniture, Kitchen cabinets, Doors, Shutters, Moulding, Panel stock, Turnings, Carvings, and Kitchen utensils.
